  19. Hi. I just installed Kermit 3.11 for DOS in my old 286 PC with a 14400 
  20. bps modem and UART 8250. When I connect to my dial-up UNIX shell account
  21. with it, and try to download a file with Kermit for UNIX to that PC, I
  22. only get speeds of 300 bytes/s. I even set both Kermits (UNIX and
  23. DOS) to 38400 bps and RTS/CTS. However, when I use other terminal
  24. programs, like ProComm with ZMODEM, I get good 1.4 Kb/s speeds. Is Kermit
  25. this bad or am I missing any setting(s)? E-mail me.
